The Kellett Senior Library is a welcoming and well resourced space designed around our students’ needs. It is open to all Senior students from 7:30am to 4:30pm, providing a quiet space for study and reading. In addition all English classes in Years 7-9 regularly visit the Library to choose and discuss books.
The Library contains a large collection of fiction and non-fiction books which support academic study and promote reading for pleasure. There are also revision guides, reference materials, modern foreign language materials, journals, and newspapers. In addition to the hard copy resources, the Library also provides a wide range of online resources and a collection of eBooks on the Kellett eLibrary.
In close collaboration with the English Department, the Library offers a reading club for Years 7-9 (who compete in the Hong Kong Battle of the Books Competition). They regularly invite visiting authors and strongly encourage student participation in local and international writing competitions such as the Hong Kong Stories Student Storytelling Slam, the Hong Kong Young Writers Award, and the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award.
