Physical Education and Sport are an integral part of student life at Kellett. Great importance is placed on the value of these areas as a core element of a balanced education, which is delivered through both the curriculum and extra curricular activities.

The Sports Programme in Prep

Students follow the same curriculum with weekly PE and Games lessons from Reception to Year 6, encouraging their individual development across a number of areas. PE lessons focus on general motor skills building a strong foundation of basic movement patterns and hand eye co-ordination. Games lessons, with the help of dedicated coaches, begin building skills for team-based sports, including Netball, Football, TAG Rugby, Basketball and TBall/Cricket.

Internal Competition

Having two Prep schools often allows our Prep students the opportunity to compete against each other across the two campuses. When they progress to the Senior School, this friendly competition continues as students compete in inter-house competitions.

Extra-Curicular Sports

Through our ECAs, curriculum sports, and our affiliation with the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), Kellett students are afforded the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports against some of the best schools in Asia.  Students represent Kellett across a variety of league competitions, friendlies and tournaments in Hong Kong.  Additionally, each year, Kellett sends a combined team of 40 students from both Prep Schools to compete in the U11 FOBISIA Games in Thailand.

Our goal is that every Prep student from Year Three should get the opportunity to represent the school in one of our sports so they can apply their learning from their PE & Games lessons
