Kellett Outreach, launched in 2022, provides Saturdays lessons for approximately 60 children aged 6 to 14 years old. The children, referred by NGOs, are from disadvantaged communities in Hong Kong, often from asylum and refugee families.

There are approximately 33,000 non-Chinese students who struggle to thrive in the Government education system due to language barriers and financial challenges. These factors impact heavily on their educational progress and as such the learning gap continues to widen.

Kellett Outreach offers lessons in core subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science, complimented by arts and sporting activities. All sessions are delivered by Kellett School staff, sports coaches and student volunteers. Children are supported with free transportation, meals, and resources to ensure they can fully engage and access their potential.

It is intended that Kellett Outreach will create a stepping-stone for some children to join the AMD Fund Bursary programme and join Kellett full time.

The Outreach Programme is presently funded through restricted limited funds, and we are seeking to secure corporate support to ensure its continued viability and success.
