Announcement Sixth Form

Kellett School is thrilled to announce the opening of its new dedicated Sixth Form Centre (SFC). Opened formally by His Majesty's Consul General to Hong Kong and Non-Resident Consul General to Macao, Mr Brian Davidson CMG and Kellett Principal & CEO, Paul Tough, the world class university-style campus for 240 students in Years 12-13, further cements Kellett’s position as one of the foremost schools in Asia offering English curriculum.

Located at The Bay Hub on Kai Cheung Road and connected by a footbridge to Kellett’s Kowloon Bay campus, the facilities include over a dozen classrooms, state-of-the-art study areas for both independent and collaborative work, a small lecture theatre, exam rooms, Higher Education & Careers counselling rooms, and social spaces to enable our students to thrive academically and socially. Designed to facilitate a variety of teaching styles, the classrooms include a Harkness room for discursive humanities lessons and a dedicated PE classroom with fitness monitoring equipment.

Celebrating the opening, Paul Tough remarked, ‘The opening of our new Sixth Form Centre in our 50th anniversary year marks an exciting milestone in Kellett’s journey. More than a building, it is a dynamic learning environment that nurtures the confidence, independence and intellectual curiosity that will serve our students throughout their lives.’

Preparing students for life beyond school is woven into our students’ education journey from a young age at Kellett. The SFC signals a step change in their transition to more independence and agency, with experts guiding them through university applications and career options. The Centre has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the location in Kowloon Bay, formerly the home to Kai Tak airport, and speaks to the important lift-off experience Kellett Sixth Form provides into tertiary education and adulthood.
