Kellett School is an independent non-for-profit school catering to the English-speaking children living in Hong Kong. The school is operated by Kellett School Association Limited through a Board of Governors; seven of whom are parents, elected by the Association, and the remaining three are ex-officio members. All parents become members of the Association.

The school is organised on the lines of the British educational system and is primarily intended for pupils whose future education will be in schools in sympathy with a British style curriculum.

The school opened in January 1978 in temporary premises in Taikoo Shing but has occupied its present purpose-built premises in Pokfulam since 1980.

Kellett School can accommodate a maximum of 400 pupils who are divided into seven year groups: Reception classes catering to 4 year old children, and Primary 1 to 6. Classes are of mixed ability and the school aims to have a maximum of 22 children per class.

School Philosophy
It is our overriding aim at Kellett that the children should feel happy and secure enough to be able to work to the best of their ability, and so fulfil their potential. It is important for their continuing development that we have confidence in them, and that they know they are valued for their successes as individuals, regardless of the achievements of others.

What makes Kellett special?

"Our pupils are at the heart of our school."

"Kellett is a happy place for children."

"We pay individual attention to pupils."

"The enthusiasm of the children, staff and parents."

"Kellett has a secure, intimate atmosphere which promotes confidence and a sense of belonging."

"We have the most wonderful pupils who are motivated and eager to learn."
