You must complete a Music Ensemble Application Form
to join one of the music ensembles.
Choirs and Vocal Ensembles
There are two choirs in rehearsal at all times at Kellett. Senior Choir is for children in P5, P6 & Y7 and Junior Choir is for children in P3 and P4. All children are welcome to join - there is no audition for either choir. There are two auditioned vocal ensembles for children in P5, P6 and Y7. (Vocal Ensembles are currently on hiatus).
Instrumental Ensembles
All ensembles are graded so that children work together at the appropriate level of performance. It is expected that children who learn an instrument at School will participate in the ensemble programme. Places in ensembles are determined by the Head of Music and offered by audition. Children who learn an instrument outside the school are encouraged to participate. Auditions take place during September. Places are granted with the understanding that a year's commitment to the ensemble is expected.
