Oliver Troth
1989 to 1994
My name is Oliver Troth and I attended Kellett School between 1989 and 1994 (P2-P6). I left Hong-Kong on New Year's Eve of 1994 and spent a short stint in England before moving to Singapore where my Parents are now living. I spent two years going to a prep school called Brambletye in West Sussex where I found life to be very different from sunny and humid Hong-Kong and a whole lot bigger.
I then spent five years at Wellington College in Berkshire, during which time I learnt to fly a glider through a scholarship and take part in my silver and gold Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
After A-levels (and unfortunately AS-levels as well) I ended up studying History at Lancaster University - I have just had a great (and hectic) freshers week and am now settling back in to the hardship of work. At present I have immersed myself in (too) many societies including the local University Air Squadron which I will hopefully become a member of if I am very lucky!
I would very much like to keep in touch with anybody in my last year from Kellett though I only really remember those people from my 1994 class with Mr. Nevin in primary 6. I remember very clearly the grazes from the astroturf playground during break times and the school plays and outings (of which there were many). Hopefully I will soon get the chance to revisit Kellett and Hong-Kong and see my old teachers such as Mr. Nevin and Mrs. James (if they're still there).
I will try and send some pictures of myself and my brother (Christian) who was also there and is now at Wellington College studying for his AS-levels. I will try and persuade him and my sister (Pasca) who was also there to give their own accounts of themselves. In the meantime it would be great to hear from anybody who was in my class or year on my e-mail:
