Nicola Murphy
1984 to 1991

I spent seven years at Kellett and remember my time there as if it were only yesterday. Things that spring to mind when I think back to the early years include: the one hand span rule on the school bus; Roger Red Hat and Billy Blue Hat; Flopsy and Mopsy; feeling so clever when I got promoted from red labels on library books; cooking lessons in the little music room; our primary one production of Cinderella and looking forward to choosing a song on my birthday in infant assembly. Kellett gave me a priceless education and seven very happy years.

After leaving Kellett, I spent three years at Island School before heading to Wilderness, a boarding school in South Australia. I then studied International Hotel Management and French for two years and completed the Le Cordon Bleu cookery diploma. After that, I stopped to smell the roses for 12 months and enjoyed helping a family friend develop a fashion label called Wild Man Wild Woman. I am currently living on the Gold Coast with my family and I start at University in Beijing in September. I will be studying language and culture and am very much looking forward to the challenge.
Warm regards and best wishes to anyone who remembers me.
